Purchasing apps for unsupported device?

I am trying to get some apps from the 10 billion promo for 0.10 but I am still on my old G1, so a lot of apps aren't supported. Though I'm buying a Galaxy Nexus tomorrow. Given there are some apps in today's promo that I don't want to miss; the Android Market won't let me purchase certain apps because I only have one phone listed and it's unsupported. Is there anyway to go ahead with the purchase?

I'm having the same problem. I would like asphalt hd, but can't purchase.

I have the same question as well.

My Samsung Moment does not support a lot of the games offered, and I am not getting a new phone until January. I was hoping I could buy the apps anyway, ala Steam, and not use them until I had an applicable phone.

I'm on the same boat. I own an HTC Desire and a lot of the games are not compatible with my device, I'm planning to buy a new phone in the next month or two and I want to take advantage of some of these deals.
