Pure Android Phone for VZW?

Hi,
I was looking at getting the Moto X because it sells itself as the most pure android phone there is....is this true for Verizon?

If not what's the most pure android phone there is today for big red?

You can use the Nexus 6 on Verizon, it is pure Android. If Verizon isn't selling it directly you can buy it from Google Play.

really? So a couple things I need - the ability to turn on the hotspot feature - my s3 is rooted since I have unlimited data so I can share it. Can I do that on the N6 too? or does that have to be rooted.
