Pure Nexus Android Auto

After flashing Pure Nexus ROM, I noticed Android Auto does not recognize apps other than Google Play (i.e. PocketCasts, Spotify, Pandora, etc.). Has anyone else had this issue, or know of a way around it? My daily driver with Android Auto is PocketCasts.
 
After uninstalling the app then reinstalling again from the Play Store it seems to be working normally again.
