push mail doesnt work

Gmail works fine but my other email accounts like hotmail or POP account doesnt work.
I remember it worked when I first used it but not now...any ideas?

you could just have you other e-mail accounts forward to g-mail. Ya the BlackBerry's are the only phone with full push support android only works with g-mail for push.

This isn't entirely true. The default mail client (not gmail) does not support push, but there are 3rd party mail apps that do. K9 is a great mail client that also supports IMAP push, and no, you do not need root.
