Push Notifications Delayed

For the past month and a half my push notifications don't show until I unlock my phone. Also, I've noticed that sometimes when I unlock the phone, the clock is 10 minutes behind and then automatically updates to the current time. For some reason, it's like my phone doesn't run anything until I unlock the phone. Battery saver and the adaptive feature are both disabled.

My guess is that the apps aren't set up to ignore doze hence they only update when you manually open your phone.

No idea where the settings are on your phone but they're pretty well hidden on my Samsung. On mine it's settings, device maintenance, battery, battery usage (next to the circle with the %), three dots top right, optimize battery usage.

Hey guys. I just went to Settings--> Apps--> Special App Access--> Battery Optimization. I turned off the feature for the apps that I don't want it active for. That should do the trick. Thanks for the help

And thanks for showing me a quicker way to get to that setting. Never needed it myself as I rooted so I could turn doze off. Bad experience when they first introduced it. Exactly what you're experiencing even though I'd set them to ignore doze. I'd assume it's better after a couple of years but honestly doze is the most pointless feature ever forced on everyone. If I turn it back on I only lose 1% less battery during my 8 hours nights sleep
