Push Notifications

Hello all,

Push notifications are not working at all on my Pixel 2 XL for this game. Everything is up to date and enabled on both the device and the game and they still are not working. I have contacted the app developer and they have been no help. Phone is always connected to the internet via WiFi or cellular data network. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app, cleared cache and data. Rebooted the phone several times and nothing has worked. I have also disabled data restrictions and battery optimization for this app. All other push notifications for my other apps are working except this one.

Also, occasionally the notification icons at the top of the screen will not show up. After restarting the phone it corrects itself but eventually it will happen again.

Any suggestions or is there a work around for this?

The app developer hasn't helped at all and has actually been kind of rude. Saying it was my phone, which I refuse to believe.

I have asked around elsewhere and have got zero answers. There has to be a solution.
