Putting PDF files in Acer A500

Hello there,

Does anyone know how to import PDF files into the tablet? I've done it once, probably by luck, and I'm trying to do it again to no avail. What I've done was, firstly, connect it to the PC. Then open the tablet up using Windows explores. And I manually move the files from my PC to the tablet into the PD folder.

The PDF files were moved in alright. However, I can't read it in the Luminbook. Please note that the file are indeed in the tablet and under the PDF folder. However, it can't be read. There is another step where you must synch (I think). I know this because I did it once. But now I don't remember what that step is. You must do this to synch the files then the new PDF file will appear and ready to be read in Lumnibook.

Any suggestion?

Regards,

Look in that Lumnibook's menu for a import function.

Often you'll find a menue when you -with opened app- tip the phone's/tablet's Menu button :)

Why not just use Adobe Reader or some other app to try where the problem lies?
I use Adobe Reader. But before using it, you must bring it into the LuminRead.

Hm...I can't find the import function. Where is that menu button?

It's LumiRead, isn't it? ;) :)

What I found ...
"LumiRead Settings -> Manage my book folders -> Back icon until you can see the External_SD option. Should be able to choose your folder from there."

Harry

In my case, back icon is just not working.
On my Iconia, I just go into settings in Lumiread, manage book folders, add book folder, mark one on external SD. Finished!

Yeah...I did that too. It doesn't work with the internal storage, and internal storage is the only storage that I have. An external SD probably would work. But the thing is that I've done this (be able to read PDF files w/ internal storage) before. I'm trying to do it again. I know that I just missed a step somewhere along that synch process.

Guys...

I just found a very simple way of doing it. First, open the LuminRead folder using your PC windows explores (connect it to your PC via UBS). Then move the PDF files or whatever files you want, provided that they must be compatible to LuminRead. Restart your tablet.

Voila....you're done.

Thanks for all the inputs...
