Help Python program receiver

Hello everyone,
I have one question. First things first: I have no clue about android
I'm writing a Python program right now and wanna send images to an android app via WIFI oder internet.
My question is, is it possible to write a receiver for an Python programm or is it not possible to combine these languages?

Not sure about what you are doing, but when I want to send images (or anything, really) over wi-fi, I use NitroShare.

Yes, Java is very versatile. You can use and call python in your java code. You can use many other programming languages as well.

There's also platforms to write your app completely in python, but beware, not all android features will be supported in python.
