Qualcomm releases an official statement about its USB Type-C + Quick Charge 3.0 specification - Reviews

A Google engineer recently said he would never recommend the LG G5 or the HTC 10 because they used Quick Charge technology and that means they are not USB Type-C compliant.

Android Central reached out to Qualcomm for a statement and they were told Qualcomm's Quick Charge technology is "connector-independent." This means that it doesn't matter if you're using USB Type-A, micro USB or USB Type-C.

The company also says that after all of their testing, they have never come across any device malfunctions with or without USB Type-C connectors.
