ill be getting metro service soon $60 a month plan n im in a extended home area i was wondering how would i find out whos network ill be using 4g lte or roaming on?

With t mobile buying metro there really iant an "extended home area" anymore. Metro uses t mobiles network. No roaming to speak of. Unless your planning on using an old cdma device which wont be supported for to much longer. But if your buying any device that was released in the last year it will be tmobile. A more accurate coverage check would be to check tmobile coverage in your area.

So t mobile says 3g in my area metro map says 4g lte good so im not gonna get 4g lte am i :/?

T mobile only shows 3g? Not unless you buy an older cdma device. if you get an older device keep in mind there planning on shutting down the cdma network shortly. If metro really has lte coverage there they should be migrating that spectrum over to tmobile soon anyway. But yea like i said if you get a phone thats been released within about the last year it will be a gsm device and will operate on t mobiles network only with metro. I cant really comment on what they offer as far as coverage in your area.

oh ok so maybe it is a good thing i got this older cdma phone then i probably would be on sprints network right? im just plan on using it short term anyway so the 2015 shutdown wont hurt much

If it shows you have metro coverage it will be on metro. But yes metro does use sprint for there roaming. Im not sure if lte data is included with that though. They have been shutting down some areas already so 2015 isnt set in stone. But they are offering sprint roaming to the people until 2015 for the areas they already shut off.

In the markets that have been shut down extended home wasn't added to them because they'd have to do a new roaming agreement. Only calling 911 and 611 work in those areas.
