Question about Data

I had the LG dare for over three years. I had unlimited data with it, but at the time it was 15 a month. I then upgraded to the Bionic. Now I only have 2GB of data I can use. My Question is there any way I can get my unlimited data back or am I screwed?

As far as I know this is two different types of data. The dare was feature phone data and the Bionic is smartphone data. There will not be a way to get unlimited data for he Bionic since this is a smartphone.

Dial 611 on your current handset. Explain the situation and they may change you back. If that doesn't work, threaten to quit service and go to Sprint for their unlimited plan. A motivated retention specialist can work wonders. Also, if you do threaten to leave, make sure you are aware of any ETF's.

tuggy,

What you had was the VCast Vpak data package for feature phones. You will not be able to get unlimited data for 15$ on the Bionic as it is as others have stated a smartphone. And if you upgraded after July 7 I think the date was you cannot get the 29.99$ unlimited Email and Web for Smartphones either. I hate to be the bearer of bad news with this, but that is the case.

00smurf,

You seam pretty knowledgable regarding data and data plans.

Have you read this thread?

http://androidforums.com/verizon/439103-verizon-unlimited-wanted.html

Is there any truth to what's being said? Like you, I thought after July 7th, unlimited data was history. At least new plans....

tuggy,

I have read that thread and I cannot say how things are now. I used to work as a customer service representative but no longer. What they are talking about is an assumption of liability of the lines, and trying to retain the current features. But I don't think it will work as you have to chose a current plan/features when completeing the assumption. So I think the unlimited data would be lost. But then again it's been 4 months and things could of changed.
