I am one of those 2.1 1.49 owners, and Im not here to find out if there is a way to root in because I have searched high and low and for now I am content on the way my phone is. I am on cricket and I am wondering if I do get a WIFI connection and download and app. will it work after I am out of the WIFI area and just on 3G?? For example if I download a game while Im in a WIFI area will I be able to play that game outside of the WIFI area?? Thanks for any help with this...
Unfortunately I really like the Eris phone and I guess I did not do my homework about rooting and all that...this is my first flashed phone and I was told by the person who flashed my phone beforehand that they would be able to get everything working...But I guess that was before he tried to get rooted in and I got a call stating no apps for me. I bought the phone on craigslist as a warranty replacement from someone else...
