Question about google voice

I signed up for google voice a while back during the beta stage and have used the voicemail feature since then but never really played around with it much. So when I got my galaxy S phone I signed up for a new gmail account and deleted my old account but when tried to sign up for voice service on the new account it says the number is still tied to an account even though the old one is deactivated. There does not seem to be any assistance with this issue on their website or any way to even get a hold of them. Anyone done this or know how to free up my number from the old account?

theres a form you have to fill out and explain the situation .... they will switch the accounts for you....... I had mine done

might be tricky if you cant access your original GV account though...... since youre required to know or reset your pin number in order for them to change the accounts........ its their security measure

Awesome! I gave them my old pin number, it still works when I call my voicemail from my phone. How long did it take for your to get switched over?

IIRC it said it can take 2-3 weeks or something like that.......... but mine was changed in like 12 hours
