does anybody know if we use the netflix app does it use our data? my billing cycle just started on the 11th and im already at 2gigs :o (haven't tethered, seen about 7-9hrs of netflix)

It uses your DATA plan good sir!, just like any other program that streams stuff into your phone ( pandora for example) So i would keep an eye on your usage so you dont go over your GBs ( if you dont have an unlimited DATA plan that is)

Best way to do that is going to the My Account app that should be pre-installed on your phone

i didn't know it used data..kinda sucks...

and yes i have "unlimited" plan even though it throttles after 5gigs smh...
and yeah i know bout that "my account" app..that's how i know how much data i have used

but thanks for the quick response

Can't you just switch to wifi when you want to watch Netflix? (Assuming that a wifi network is available.) That wouldn't use your data plan.

Wi-Fi does NOT use your data plan. You are streaming over your computer's (or someone elses) internet band width, not T-mobile's, so it does not count against your cap for data.
