Question about returning a phone after an upgrade

So last Monday I got the HTC Incredible from BestBuy cause of great offer of $0.00 with a 2 year activation (or upgrade). I used my upgrade to get it for free. I am somewhat unhappy with the phone, however, as I thought it would be more...incredible lol. Not bashing any incredible users, I am just very picky. My question is this: If I return the phone before the 30 days is up, will I go back to my old plan (non data plan) and will I be given back my upgrade in case I want to upgrade in the near future? Thanks so much in advance guys, and I hope you all had a merry Christmas!

Im, not positive, but I would assume that would be the case.

Yes you should still get the upgrade offer from Verizon. That said I'd make a call to Verizon to verify this...

Yes your account will return your upgrade date to you and undo your contract renewal. You will be charged a $35 restocking fee.

Actually, whether or not he gets charged a Restocking Fee is up to Best Buy (Since they're a reseller, they have some latitude there, but you should assume you're going to pay it). What I recommend you do is call Customer Care from Best Buy and make sure your upgrade date and contract end date get reset. You can put the Best Buy rep on the phone with CC and have them verify that the equipment has been returned. That way the CC rep you get can have a supervisor reset the dates.

Why? I've seen a lot of Best Buys who aren't really on the ball at using offline channel support to get that done for customers who have returned equipment.
