I know that in areas of low signal that the phone's battery life drops because the phone tries like crazy to connect to a home tower. i have a phone plan where i dont have to worrie about roaming. im not sure if there setting even exists but is there a setting somewhere on the phone to tell it that i dont care what it connects too.
