question about stock messaging app

I am not really picky about the stock sms app but my one complaint is that every time you open the app it takes you to the last message sent or received. i would prefer it to just go to the all threads screen. i also use launcher pro and and found that you can make custom shortcuts. is there a widget that will take you straight to that screen or is there a custom shortcut i can make to do that?

When I open up Messaging on my Acclaim, I see a list of all the folks I have messaged. It shows their names, the number of messages, and the date of the last message. At the top of this is an entry titled "New Message" (Compose New Message).

There does not appear to be a Home screen shortcut that will take you to this view.
