Question about the 14 day exchange policy

My Droid X (my baby....oh how I miss her...) got stolen about two weeks ago. Since then I have had to use my old Droid Eris, which now will not charge...so it is essentially an expensive paper weight. I am wondering how exactly the 14 day exchange thing works. If I use an upgrade and get a new 2 year plan with, for example, an iPhone 4...can I just go and switch it out no problem for the ThunderBolt when it comes out (as long as it is in the 14 days)? No added cost besides the restocking fee? Or how exactly does it work?
 
Yeah you will have to pay the restocking fee, that should be it. Oh and the Thunderbolt is 249 so you will have to pay 50 more than the iphone.

Ok, thanks man. I just wanted to make sure I didn't have to like pay full retail for the TB for some reason.
 
Not a problem!

M wife used my upgrade to get the iphone 4 and she didn't want it. I kept it 11 days, took it back today. Paid the restocking fee, and now my upgrade is back when I check on Verizon.

I am set for the Thunderbolts release, so you shouldn't have any problems either.

Not to mention the possibility that the 4G will have a completely different plan from the current 3G. I wish I was kidding, but that's what a VZW customer service rep told me this afternoon; that a new 4G plan is possible. Meaning that the 3G unlimited plan would not be grandfathered in.

I think that will eventually happen, but from everything we have heard so far, nothing is going to change with the release of the Thunderbolt, later on most likely.
