Question about the Clock

I have had my Droid for one month now and I do like it alot compared with my old phone.

Is it possible to have the digital clock/calendar on my home screen like the one I see while the phone is locked?

Here is the data for my phone:

I was hoping there would be a way to see it without installing an app since it is "already there" so to speak.
Looking at the comments for Lockbot both free and paid the app does not sound that good.
