question about transfering upgrade

if i transfer my upgrade to my mothers line will she still be eligible for her own upgrade on the date it says now which is sometime in 2013?

If you're on a family plan than nope, she'll have a new upgrade (22 months IIRC). I did this with my wife. Used my upgrade for a Bionic and then used hers for a Gnex and swapped phones. Actually quite easy, but my upgrade is now further into 2013 than hers is.

in another thread it was mentioned that if my mother doesnt have a sim card then i would have to do this kind of switch in the store

so what about this my dad just upgraded last week to the s3..if i transfer my upgrade to him get the dna it comes with the sim..you only use the sim it comes with if you dont have one correct?

so i put his sim thats in the s3 in the dna activate it then take it out put it back in his s3 activate that and then put the sim that came with the dna in there and activate it under my line is that possible?

No, each sim is tied to one line (phone). You can't activate a sim on one phone, remove it and then activate in on another. I also think your confused on the upgrade. If you have an upgrade, just use it. If your mom is eligible, then you'd transfer her upgrade to your line. Thus extending your moms contract another two years.

You'll get a sim with the phone, you can only activate it on the phone it came with. If you don't have a sim, you'll go to the Verizon store and ask for one, its free. They'll activate it on your new phone.

alright thanks for the info yea like i said new to the whole sim thing..so basically if i did it i would have to involve verizon no matter what if i did it which i really dont feel like dealing with so might just give up the unlimitied

i dont really use too much data just liked the idea of having my unlimited there when i needed it

The only way to preserve unlimited without paying full retail for a phone is to use someone else's upgrade. That line would lose unlimited and get a 2GB tiered plan. You don't have to go to Share Everything. If you are the one with the upgrade, you will lose unlimited if you use it.
