question about wifi on the droid

when you use the wifi on your droid, do you have an ip or something that identifies you like when you use your computer at home? not sure if I am wording this right. for example, if you stumbled onto a malicious website on your computer, they could easily get your ip address. if you used your droid wifi at a coffee shop with the same website, would they have some identifier for your phone?

The internet is a massive IP network. You have to have an IP address. Your Droid is assigned a local IP address like all devices on your own network. It's not the same as the external IP address on your router, which is what the outside world sees (in a nutshell). There's obviously far more to the rabbit hole than just that.

It's doubtful, though, that your Droid will ever have a static IP (one that doesn't change).
