Question for anyone going from regular Razr to Razr HD?

Just have a quick question from anyone going from a regular Razr Maxx to a maxx HD..... Is there a significant difference between screen size and quality? Enough to make the change?

I don't own the maxx HD yet but I did spend some time today checking it out and comparing it to my maxx. For me, I'd answer "yes" and "yes" to your questions. I will most likely be making the upgrade, but probably not for a couple weeks when I have a better idea of the competitors that will be out before the holidays.

I am a SP addicted and I've had every droid ever produced. The build quality of the both razr's are great, but the razr HD edges it out with a solid design that feels more secure when you hold it and when you put it up to your ear for a phone call.

Is there a reason to make a change? Hmm if you find the older processor on the razr maxx too slow and want to step upto a quicker gpu and processor then it is. Its really just buyer preference really.

If its just the LG nexus then its a no brainer, I'm getting the maxx HD. If there is something else like the HTC Nexus (based on the J hopefully) then I'll probably go that route. Unfortunately I think there's zero chance of a moto nexus this year. From what Google has been saying though, next fall could be an exciting time for people hoping for a moto nexus.

I went from a Maxx to Maxx HD. The screen size is noticeably larger because the pictiure uses more of the display area than the Maxx did. But sitting next to a Maxx it does not look noticeably bigger.

the picture quality is much better than the Maxx.

I only updated because I have abuyer at $400 for my Maxx and the $250 difference was small enough for me to make the change.

Bottomline for me: I probably would have gotten a Galaxy S3, but I am not going to be caught dead with anything less than a 3300MaH battery going forward. Battery life is huge for me, and a larger screen.

I had the Razr and just got the MAXX HD - and WOW! I am in love withthe size of the screen and the amazing quality of the screen. I am very happy with the screen, and am amazed at there could be such a difference.

And about waiting for a new phone - there is ALWAYS a new phone just around the corner. You can spend your entire life saying 'oh there is a rumor about this phone in 3 weeks' and that cycle will never stop.

i never really understood what people were talkin about when they said the razrs battery sucked... im occasionally in 4g down in south florida (just where i live, most places are 4g) but recently i went on vacation to LA and Las Vegas and my phone was on 4g the entire time and let me tell you something, the battery life was DISGUSTING. i will always go for the upgraded battery, even if its more $... when more people have the Razr HD Maxx online, ill be buying one.

Yea the screen is better, and that surprised me..didnt expect it to be this much better.

I have a RAZR....and my Maxx HD is whiter, brighter, blacker. Pentile is even harder to see, and it isnt that noticeable on the RAZR's from last year.

Size...until there are mods to get rid of the on screen keys, the screen size will be virtually the same. Expect for watching movies and what other time(s) the keys disappear.
