This question is for any developers here who used the O'Reilly book, "Learning Android" while learning
to develop for the Android.
Did you, in Chapter 6 (I'm just moving on to the "Threading in Android" section), get your Yamba project
to build without getting the "Yamba] Conversion to Dalvik format failed with error 1" error? Or am I
SUPPOSED to be getting that error at this stage? In other words, is that one of the problems that
the author says I"ll be debugging later? Because I've compared his code, line by line, character by
character, and the only differences are com.spooky.yamba vs his com.[whatever].yamba1. I've even
put all of the width/height definitions in the same order as his, just to make sure......
Please at least let me know if I"m supposed to be getting that error at this stage, so I'll know whether or not
to move on despite its being there.
Thanks
PS: I tried asking this in the developer's forum, but after over 7 hours now, it still hasn't made it out of
the incoming message queue yet, so apparently, that group is very heavily backed up.....probably
not likely to have any success there. :-(
