Help Question for Magic Users - Keyboard with Apps?

Have you noticed any issues running apps that were designed with the G1's portrait / hard keyboard in mind with the Magic and it's soft keyboard? Just wondering how well it works with these. I've had a play with the keyboard on a Magic in a Vodafone store, it seems pretty good, but I was wondering how it affects apps? (I am particularly interested in how well the various IRC and SSH apps work).

I can sort of answer my own question now, as I have my own magic. The Android Store version of ConnectBot (SSH Client) has issues with the Magic's on-screen keyboard (return doesn't work) but I installed the latest .apk from the Google code page using the Android browser and it works ok now. I haven't had any issues with other apps.
