Help Question Help! SamSung Galaxy S3 US or International?

I want to have an SamSung Galaxy S3 unlocked phone. So that I can use it for an unlimited data plan. I'm thinking either Straight Talk or Virgins Mobile USA Unlimited for 35.00 a month.

I live in Everett WA.

My only question is based on those companies and the plan I want, and where I live and the phone I want, which phone is best for me? The International Version or the North American Version? Which is best for unlimited data in my area with that phone and those companies and data plans.

Also as an extra question now that I think about it, is there a cheaper. Unlimited data plan available too? Thanks. Everyone.

I have moved this thread into the forum for the USA version of the SGS3 since you live in the US and will be using a US service provider. I also think your best chance at getting an informed answer is in that forum, since it is frequented by many more people than this forum, at present.
 
I did don't research recently on the major US carriers. The only 2 you can get upto HSPA+ with are AT&T or Verizon (SIM) on the gt-i9300 international s3. So if straight talk or virgin piggy back those networks, you would be fine.
 
What about Iphone 5? Or the for 4s? Can I use those. Like can I get one of the iphones and have it be any iphone and unlock it and have it work to the full potential for Virgin? or straight talk?
 
You need to get one thats specific to your carrier really. US is different to the rest of teh workd. We all have all our carriers pretty much using the same frequencies. A phoen from Hong Kong will work on any UK network and vice versa.
 
Ok so FYI, Virgin uses Sprint's CDMA network so te international wont work there.

Also, Straight talk seems to use everything. CDMA Verizon and Sprint, GSM T-mobile and AT&T so if your area is AT&T, you don't want the international. Its going to be safer NOT to get an international S3
 
How about this. I hear Straight talk is better then cricket and virgin so lets say I go with cricket or Straight Talk. Which one works better on them? The Iphone 5 or S3? And then from what carrier? Tmobile Iphone 5 or Tmobile S3. Or the Att Iphone 5 or att S3?
 
None of the unlocked international phones that I looked at were 4G compatible. They were all 3G phones. I was only looking at quad-core phones on eBay so maybe there are some 4G international phones out there. For me that ruled out all of the quad-core international phones since I have become accustomed to 4G speeds.

Be very careful if you do go the international phone route. Make sure you get the correct type for your carrier of choice.
 
Oh I know. I would never even. Think of getting an international version. Only a US S3. My question regards US. Only.
