Question on Accounts

I purchased a new Virgin Mobile phone, However I still have the Motorola Triumph. What I'm curious on...Is it possible to port my number from the Triumph to my new phone which will get it's own account....Then get a new number on the triumph so that account can stay active with the grandfathered $25 plan? Is this something I can do on my own through Account Management, Or do I have to call CS and deal with those yahoos.

Thanks in advance for any advice anyone may have!

Larzuk.

When you port a number it closes the account because there is no longer a number attached to it. The only way to keep the $25 account on the triumph is to leave it on the grandfathered account and put the new device on a new account.

Correct, I said that in my original post. The new phone WILL be on the new account, However, I need the triumphs phone number on my new phone...My brother who will take over the Triumphs account is obviously going to want his own new phone number, Not mine...

As I said in my first post, when you port the number from the grandfathered account with the Triumph it will close the grandfathered account with the Triumph because there is no number assigned to it and when you port a number away you are closing the account.

The only way to keep the $25 account on the triumph is to leave it on the grandfathered account and put the new device on a new account.
You could with the grandfathered account request a new number, but then you will lose the number from that account and your brother will have the Triumph with the grandfathered account and a new number.

Unless they have changed things there is not currently a way for you to have the number on the new account while keeping the grandfathered account active. It is a one or the other thing.

Hmm, I wonder if it's possible through CS on their end.

Anyhow, I appreciate your input, Thank you very much!

Not from any of the reports people have posted about trying to do the same thing within this forum.
