question regarding barcode scanner and goggles

Hi

I can't find any barcode scanner on the market, and not goggles.
Can it be related?
I have HTC Legend

-click install and download the .apk to your phone's sd card.
-Navigate to the downloaded program (I use Astro file manager)
-Run the .apk
-If you don't have "install unknown app" enabled, your phone should ask you if you want to. (Hint: you do)
-Finish installation.
