Dear all,

I tried googling the answer but without any luck. I'm using Android 4.2.2 and I cannot figure out the below: How can I turn off the default ringing sound in the built in email client (not google mail, the other one) which is played when the client cannot connect to the email server? This is not the default notification sound I set, this is a completely different, seemingly hardcoded sound. It's literally a ringing sound. I tried all the settings but this sound is not mentioned anywhere. Please note I know there are a lot of other clients in the market, but I want to keep using this one.

hi,

I created this thread. Sorry for the missing info. It is a Samsung GT-S7582. Are you saying this client is not a standard Android client but Samsung's own client?

Thanks

Each brand puts in it's own email client. So yes. In the email app's settings, there's an option to change the notification sound per account.
