Root question..

What's up? behold II is my first android phone, and I am wonderin what are the benefits of rooting the phone? I've used alot of pocket pcs and know about custom roms and cooking roms don't know if its the same though.

with this phone there isnt a whole lot that you can do with root access right now, but in the near future it will come in handy. Right now the custom roms that we have, include root already in them, so all you have to do is follow the instructions. All custom roms require root access so that is the main benefit!

The main benefit is having a faster, better performing phone. Aside from what Paul said, it's a great way to take control of your phone by removing Samsung's bloatware that comes pre-installed and impossible to remove without rooting.
