Questions about having multiple lines

JohnJSal

1. Does everyone have to live at the same address?

2. Can individual lines have different data plans (e.g. one line has the 500MB price of $10, another line has the 2.5GB price for $20, etc.)?

3. Are there any advantages to having your own individual line of service versus being a line in a family plan?

Thanks!

1. I don't believe so. What I can find says that all phones must be activated in the same market with a single billing address in the area code (meaning all phones will have numbers in that area code).

2. Yes, when you sign up you specify the data plans for each line. Every phone gets its own data plan, there is no sharing of data between lines.

3. I'm not aware of any advantage to having an individual line. The only difference appears to be the lower price per line on the family plans.

Is it possible to transfer existing phone numbers into a family plan? What if they have different area codes?
