Questions about One V

Hi,

Finally I Zeroed in on ONE V and planning to buy another couple of days after the disappointment from WFS, but still have some points to clear....

1. I Know One V comes with ICS Android 4.0 but Is it possible to upgrade to Jelly bean..?

2. What is the necessity to ROOT One V..?

3. Phone's Internal 4 GB memory is not the SD Card. Am I Correct..?

Can anyone help me to decide on this.....
Thanks a lot.

HTC has said that the One V will be passed over for a Jelly Bean update.
In general, devices with 512MB RAM or less will not be upgraded to Android 4.1. At present, these devices include the HTC One V and the HTC Desire C.

As far as I can tell, the only way to get JB on the phone would be to root it and install a custom ROM. I can't help you on what the specifics of rooting are, but you might want to look in the rooting subforum here.

Yes, the 4 GB is the internal memory, though if I recall correctly the amount of space actually available to you (without rooting) is around 1 GB.

Hi,
After doing some research on this (One V or Any other), I'm thinking of Desire X also since it is 1 Ghz Dual Core Processor with 768 MB Ram and 4 Inch Touch Screen which reads good than One V.

But (also don't mind paying little bit extra) want to know about the real performance. !!!!

CAN ANYONE HELP ON THIS....?
