Questions from a wannabe Android user

Hi guys,

I'm planning to switch from the iPhone to Android in a month or two and have some questions about Android's features and capabilities which I'm hoping you can answer:

1. Does Android support bluetooth file transfers?

2. Can Android Apps be bought and downloaded from somewhere apart from the Marketplace, because it's not available in my country yet?

3. Can Android stream music to a bluetooth device e.g. bluetooth headset or car radio?

4. What is the best Task List/To do app?

5. What features is Android lacking?

Any help and advice is appreciated :)

1. Does Android support bluetooth file transfers?
Yes though you may need an app.

2. Can Android Apps be bought and downloaded from somewhere apart from the Marketplace, because it's not available in my country yet?
Yes. You can download and install from sources other than the Market (unless a specific device is restricted like at&t plans to do).

3. Can Android stream music to a bluetooth device e.g. bluetooth headset or car radio?
Yes.

4. What is the best Task List/To do app?
Define what you mean by "best". You might have better luck reading/searching/asking in the Applications forum. Not everyone has the same needs/wants so clarify exactly what you're looking for in such an app.

5. What features is Android lacking?
Again, depends on who you ask. What are you looking for that you don't think is there?

#4 There are a bunch, but you could give Astrid a try.

#5 Easy screenshots without requiring a computer or technical knowledge.... that's pretty much the only thing I've come across (and it's probably not important to the average user).

Thank you guys! Appreciate the advice and I wish I already had an Android device. First I'm gonna email Steve Jobs though about how his policies are losing him customers, and more importantly, how the ethics of his company are changing for the worse...
