Help Quick canned SMS messages? ZTE N9137

I send short messages, like "Leaving the house." "Arrived at the store" "Leaving the store," "Home again" just letting my excitement keep tabs on me. (Used to be my citement before becoming my ex citement LOL) These are not for dissing off a phone call with a text message, but for frequently-used texts

ZTE N9137 smartphone, android 7.1.1, using Google Messages.

Is there a way to have these message options fixed in the place of the suggested messages? A way to edit and create these things for frequent use?

I think that's built-in.

You might need to switch SMS apps to get something you can edit, but if you enable Google Messages settings>smart reply it will give you the option to reuse frequently used previous messages. So, if you use those phrases a lot, you may get them anyway.
