Quick Charging...

IMO nope, although presumably the battery regulation circuits are getting better. Anything that creates more heat in the battery is going to shorten its life, and with mostly non-replaceable batteries that is especially not good.
I had a wireless charging coil in my S5 for a while but I stopped using it because the transferred heat was killing batteries, even though the actual charging rate was less than the normal wired rate.

I haven't used a wireless quick charger, but I have had several phones that support Qualcom Quick Charge 2 and 3, and my huawei watch 1, that supported also supported quick charge. I never noticed any heat or inexplicable short batter life.

Maybe you should follow what Tesla recommends, charge your battery as often as possible but never charge it to full unless you really need to do so.

I never gone through so many usb cables, though they are somewhat bent out of shape from the corners of both plugging into the wall and vice versa though, but I am keeping them in case of an emergency :)

It seems to be becoming ubiquitous. Even wireless charging is becoming faster.

Is this a good thing battery-life wise?

What's the wear and tear on the physical battery when you quick-charge it?
IT can drain fast because of quick charging
if the phone doesnt support it bad/dead IC
3.quick charging is not ment every time it can drain battery
4.slow chargers are bad but along the charger stablizes your battery is OK
