Quick exchange calendar question

I use my Hero with my Exchange calendar for work. I can sync exchange calendar events TO my phone, but can't create appointments on my phone to sync back to my exchange calendar. I can see my exchange calendar on my phone, but I can't seem to write to it.

Any ideas? Is this a missing feature that I didn't realize until today?

My old solution was fine where I used Google calendar on my phone and my desktop synced google calendar with exchange calendar. I did this because I was using Google for tasks. I no longer use google for tasks and therefore stopped using Google calendar.
