Quick File Transfer- s6 to pc

I have not purchased the s6 yet but since it doesn't have replaceable memory I'd like to have your experiences copying/moving photos/videos to PC using Windows File Explorer and hard wire. Is this simply micro-USB to USB? Is this cable supplied with the phone? Is the transfer rate similar to, say, copying files from a thumb drive to PC? I am looking for maximum speed so assuming hard wire is the best way to go.
Any info/links would be much appreciated. Thank you.
Frank

Yes, it is microUSB to USB. Cable is supplied with the phone (part of the charger). Transfer rate is similar to copying from thumb drive to PC.

Thank you. Guess I will get one. I noticed there is a case that contains an extra battery and micro-SD storage called the Incipio offGRID. Looks interesting but increases the phone thickness to .6 in. How does your battery do? Almost got an LG G4 but didn't like the display.

Battery drains less than 1% overnight, and easily lasts a day with 4 hours screen on. Others report substantial battery drain; either they have dodgy units or are using apps/setup that eats power

I don't have one, but a close friend has one (that's how I know about the file transfer). He has reported pretty good battery life as well - similar to what Sydney99 stated - about 3-4 hours screen time before end of day. His battery drains about 5% overnight though - even with data/wifi turned off, but not that big a deal.

Sorry, should clarify, that's overnight <1% an hour! With nothing turned off.
