Quick Galaxy S3 preorder question

Travisimo

I currently have a Galaxy Nexus and I'm transferring the upgrade from another line to my line so I can upgrade to the S3 at the subsidized price. I'm currently in the checkout process at verizonwireless.com and it is letting me keep my unlimited data plan (so that's good). However, a popup appeared that asks if I want to keep my existing sim card? I'm assuming that I should said yes, but I'm not sure. If I preorder the S3, do I just take the sim out of my Gnex and put it in my S3? Should I said yes to this question?

Thanks!

I would think so. When I pre-ordered it knew that the sim from my Thunderbolt wasn't compatible and said they would send a new one.

I did the same thing. I'm on a Tbolt also an it didn't ask me about the sim card. It thinks that it's upgrading my wife's iPhone 4, not my TBolt. I will give my TBolt to my wife so she can get a 4G phone for now

Yes keep your existing SIM and just transfer it into your new phone. You can actually transfer your SIM back and forth between phones should you want to switch for any reason.

Thanks, one followup question if you don't mind...

I transferred an upgrade from another line (that has a dumbphone on it) to my line, but when I check the status on verizonwireless.com now, it shows that the dumbphone line is waiting for an activation. Will I have to activate the GS3 on THAT line first, and then re-activate the dumbphone, then re-activate the GS3 on my line? And if so, how does that work with the sim card? Can I do this at home or will I have to go to the VZW store? Would I just take my Galaxy Nexus sim (the phone that I currently have on my lne) and put it in the GS3 and activate it on the dumbphone line, and then change it to my line? Will that affect my unlimited data if I put my sim card on that line and then back to my line? Sorry, confused on how this works...

EDIT: If I have to activate the GS3 on the dumbphone line first, should I use a new sim card and then re-activate it on my line with my current sim card later?
