I am just wondering if it's possible to set up my android device to do this:

> Usually only require slide-to-unlock when waking the screen
> Require a passcode only when you activate a specific widget for this purpose
>> OR only require a passcode when unpinning an app

I dislike having to enter a passcode all the time. I would only like to lock my phone when I'm, say, going to sleep with it on my bedside table, or if I'm pinning it on an app and handing it over to a friend for a bit and I don't want them to snoop. It would be a pain if I had to go to my settings and set a passcode every time I wanted to hand it over to someone, and then disable it after. Is there really not a quick way to manually lock your device?

In case anyone misunderstood, no- I don't mean manually locking it and requiring a passcode after a quick press of the power button. I just want slide-to-unlock in most cases.

Hi

Have a look at App Lock by Domobile in the playstore. I think you can configure this to do what you want (by locking sensitive apps, dialer etc) and enable it when lending your phone. Disable it afterwards (once). There are other apps which I'm sure could also do this but I'm familiar with this one.

EDIT have just checked and there is a quick on and off notification in the pull down(off needs code entry) available in App Lock
