QUICK! PC monitor and xbox 360 trouble

Hey there!

So im sick of my monitor and trying to set up a 360 on it. Only has 1 vga and have tried a kvm/vga switchbox and did not work. Also no 'source' button.

So going out tomorow to get a 24" with vga and hdmi input with source button. My pc will be connected with vga and want to connect the xbox with the hdmi.

So if hdmi carries audio too, am i right in thinking that by pressing the source button i will get audio with the xbox, or am i wrong?

Your most likely right if the monitor has sound.

The sound out of the monitor if any will not be worth a crap.

Your better off to use the hdmi along with a dongle that hooks in where the regular VGA/Component cables hook in and get some computer speakers or headphones that hook into that. Like this>>

HDMI should give you audio on your monitor, correct.

Question: What monitor brand is it? If it s a Samsung, may I have the model number? I'm familiar with their products, after working there, so I could easily help you out with that.
