Quick question about auto-sync

hi,

i have a quick question about auto-sync.
does auto sync force applications to synchronize regardless of what sync schedule they have?
does auto sync also sync my non-gmail e-mail (htc mail widget)?
the problem is that sometimes when i enable auto-sync to sync everything (mail, weather, friendstream, news) it doesn't sync everything. sometimes the news aren't synced and sometimes friendstream etc.

any comments, ideas?

No, that is set through that app.
