Quick question about email notification?

Now the HTC android phones have the trackball that lights up or whatever when you get an email. Does this only work with gmail or can I link a hotmail account as well?

You can set up your hotmail account with HTC mail.

Yes, the trackball will still flash if you receive an email. Whether it be Gmail or another like hotmail yahoo etc
