Help Quick question about firmware

Device: Xiaomi Redmi Note 4x (Snapdragon)
So i have been using custom rom on my phone, im not using miui because i used to simple ui and thing, miui is really complicated so yeah, but that not my question.
The rom i use is lineageos 14.1 and if i want to flash and use it, i have to flash an firmware of miui nougat (which i have done long time ago because at that time im still on miui marshmellow so i have to flash firmware), i have using los 14.1 for almost 1 year now and keep updating rom and firmware to newest one, but recently i notice my battery drain a bit faster and charging is slow, usually it take 2h30~2h45 but now it always > 3h, i confused if its because of the rom or firmware have bug, the last time i update my rom is month ago, so i dont think its rom problem, but just about 4 5 days ago i update my firmware to version 9.5.8.0, after i find this suspicious i looking for google and see some people have issue with battery in miui 9.5.8.0 (the firmware i flash is exported from the miui rom)
So my question: is firmware affect the battery life and performance of the phone ?
Well if the answer is no i guess i have to go to bring my phone to store to check my battery and charging circuit then
 
It is possible for the firmware to affect battery life. I know nothing about this device, so can't say whether this is a known issue or not, just that it is possible. It can even depend on which ROM you use with which firmware.

Have you tried going into recovery and wiping the cache. May not help, but is harmless so always worth a try.
 
Lineage is a rom and if i want to use it i have to flash an firmware which was exported from miui rom (or stock rom if u wanna call it)
Im just confused if firmware have any impact om battery life tho, i hear rom that affect battery life, that normal, but i have been using this rom for almost 1 years now, its stable, so i just askin can an firmware affect battery life tho, if yes then im gonna do clean flash and roll back to my old firmware, calibrating my battery, if no then hardware problem

I have Lineage OS 14.1 on a LeEco S2 and i got that little gem. Freaked me out until i found the "joke".

Nah i know its a joke from beginning tho, its just a joke xD, the rom i use is lineage, yes, the last update is 13/5/2018, they stop updating 14.1 and moving up to 15.1 oreo rom
