quick question on viewing cable tv without internet...

Please tell me there is a way to watch the cable you already have through these TV sticks. That was one of my main reasons for choosing it over the chromecast. I'm not talking about internet TV I mean watching the cable I have through android TV stick without internet connection. I know there got to be some kind of way since the thing is connected to the TV.

I think I'm confused. If you mean watch TV without changing your TV input you need a true GTV box which has HDMI pass through, if you just have an Android stick/box you need to change your input to TV. Hmm, is that the answer?
