At the moment I use Astrid to put all my tasks in and I always choose to also add them into my calendar as well (belt and braces eh!). Anyway, the reason I got the Desire to start with is because I need to keep track of a huge number of dates, appointments, childcare details, school events (who would ever be a mum!!) - it's a right old nightmare. However, I understand and take in this info better when it's presented to me as it would be if I'd put it into a spreadsheet in Excel. So my question is, is there any way of me entering my tasks and appts in Astrid (which I find very quick), and then it could be displayed in Excel??? Or do I simply need to go a totally different route instead to achieve this? I still need to get reminders as I'd forget my head if it wasn't screwed on!
I did recently email myself one of my old Excel calendar spreadsheets that I used to use (it's a month view on one sheet) as I thought that might be a way round it - do it in Excel at home or work then have the latest on screen via DropBox - but there seemed to be no way in Quickoffice to pinch the screen and shrink it down so I could see all of it (to allow me to then home in to a particular day - it was absolutely huge and I couldn't see more than one cell at a time which filled the entire screen - obviously absolutely useless)!!
I have to say, on the whole, I've found the HTC to be a royal pain in the rear. I find it much much too difficult to set up (it's great if you've got hours to play but I haven't - if someone tried to steal it from me now I'd half kill them to prevent it - just because of all the work I've done getting it set up!!!!). I haven't even been able to get any of my contacts in via my old Sony Ericsson (by any method) and have the prospect of sitting there for several hours doing this manually tonight. and forget taking across any of the photos of my kids! That won't wash either. So I would be really disappointed if I can't set up my tasks in the way that I need cos that's really what I bought the phone for. Help?!??
