Hi everyone
I'm in the market for a new phone and I'd like it to have a qwerty BlackBerry style keyboard. Not a slide-out keyboard. I'm fed up of the full-touchscreen, I just don't find it as fast to use for e-mail and messaging as phones with physical keyboardsand buttons. My old work BlackBerry was amazing for e-mail and messaging but it seems there's no way to avoid using BlackBerry's push e-mail servers. Unfortunately Android IMAP e-mail clients are pretty poor in comparison to BB but the rest of the benefits of Android outweigh that.
So, Android phones with qwerty keyboards. Any recommendations?
From what I can find there's a few different options...
I realise that they have limitations in using Android due to the smaller screens but I'm definitely willing to put up with that to get some good old fashioned proper buttons.
At the moment I'm tempted by the Samsung.
Can any of these run CyanogenMod?
Though the manufacturer OS customisations/overlays are probably useful for qwerty phones to make Android more usable on the smaller/landscape screen.
Cheers, B
