Help qwerty keyboard for the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini

Can this phone have an app to support a qwerty keyboard, as I find the keyboard a little annoying.

I'm using ThickButtons which is qwerty.

I'm happy with the qwerty keyboard 99% of the time but it's a little bit hard to see what you've writen when you text but it is with the T9 keyboard too.

Cool so where did you get the ThickButtons qwerty beacuse all I can use is the T9 keyboard? Have you tried using the qwerty keyboard where your phone is tilted to and has a side display?

I just downloaded it from the market and installed. It does work like the video you posted.

It won't tilt in text messaging but will in everything else.

Was it the Smart Keyboard Pro you downloaded and from this you tube video they said to install the Handcent SMS for rotation.

I have downloaded the Smart Keyboard Pro now and it does rotate with Handcent SMS.

Pretty good combo for texting as it gives you T9 for landscape and qwerty for landscape.

Still working out which keyboard I like the best but Handcent is great on the Mini.

As mentioned above using "Slide Keyboard" instead of "Smart Keyboard Pro", as you dont need handcent for landscape for this app.

He need handcent or chompsms to write sms in landscape

Yes but i think many people don't like the keyboard is fullcreen

No the build in sms app do not work with landscape, you need another sms app for landscape

I can also vote for SlideIT keyboard. It works much faster than regular qwerty or t9, and has dictionary for Norwegian and a whole bunch of other languages too.

I use Scandinavian Keyboard. Don't woryy, it has all languages, that's just the name of it. Works like a charm for me in all text messages apps lke Handcent and Chomp.

What do you mean by it doesn' work? when you start to write a message using the standard sms app and long press on the screen where you are typing a option should come up asking you to choose a input method - "default input" or "thickbuttons".

it did not work at 1st for some unknown reason i installed it agian and it worked ... problem solved

I just stumbled upon this BlindType. Take a look at the youtube video in the article. It looks very promising. And due to its rescaling capability I think it would fit nicely on the mini.
