Help R2D2 Touch Screen Doesn't Work

My R2D2 Touch Screen isn't working. A few weeks ago, every once in awhile after I would unlock my phone, it would start opening random apps. It also opens my contacts and calls people. Then sometimes when I would try to send a text it would just type random letters. I did a factory reset, and the problem seemed to be fixed. The problem has started again, only it is much worse. My phone is not useable because I have to fight the phone for which apps I want to open. Pretty much the only thing I can do is answer calls. I have tried a factory reset again, and this time it didn't do anything.
 
is this only while it is charging? several of the D2 had this issue - I think the charger was to blame, but not sure
 
sounds like a bad digitizer
can be replaced, but it's a pain

or you could try flashing a .sbf
