Help R910 4g can somebody please help me out internet issues!

I have my galaxy indulge 4g on metro have had it for 6 months or so and has worked great til about 2 months ago. I am in SF bay area. point is, 2 months ago it started doing this thing where it would go into upload mode or "send" mode with the arrow pointing upwards (only happened on 4g) and internet would not work, no connectivity at all. wont even switch to 1x unless i somehow force it by toggling 4g or whatever. even airplane mode on and off or phone restart only resolves the issue sometimes and after MANY tries. my phone got stolen so i bought a used one, since i didnt have insurance, but that didnt stop the problem from happening, still the same exact scenario. I've switched PRLs couple times, hard reset the phone, been to metro store couple times but i dont have time to go there alot since they need you to visit a certain number of times before they escalate the issue. I rooted, flashed a custom rom, and tried every app on the market with hope it would get fixed but nothing. my friend has the indulge and says he never gets that problem. not to mention 4g coverage has been terribly unstable, he would be getting stable 4g coverage and mine would be struggling between 4g and 1x or 3g. this has been very frustrating and i dont know what i could do to fix it. so if anyone has come across this problem or has an idea please any advice would be greatly appreciated. heck even if you have this problem just let me know so i can understand that i am not the only one with it. I am by the way a very heavy internet user, I watch netflix regularly on my phone use it as a wifi hotspot regularly and my usage easily exceeds 10gb a month if not a week.
I have an extended battery and I have a 650 area code but the area i live in is a 408 area but 650 is only 1 city down so i really dont know that to do with this dam issue. any help would be appreciated.

edit: By the way cdma is on R910.0.4M.EE07 and LTE is on SCH-R910.ED15
when i went to the metro store they would tell me the towers are being upgraded and it would surprise me that out of EVERYONE i know with an indulge none of them said they got the same problem.

I encounter that same problem a couple times a week. I fix it by disabling the lte entering airplane mode for a few seconds then calling voicemail and hanging up to enable the lte again. That gets my data back within 30 seconds.


BTW there is a new sticky for data issues only so you may want to continue there.

I also have tha same proble like you Akikhia....i also hang around tha bay area and i also have tha same problems bt only some areas of sf... i waz thinking that their signal towers are down or damaged... so i feel tha same way as you do..
