Help radio gsm activation

hello guys,
i have a motorola droid bionic xt875 it cant read any gsm seam it only reads lte/cdma and wen i set it up to gsm it shows me "unfortunately the process com.android.phone has stopped what can i do?

If you are sure that your phone is compatible with your carrier, make sure that you are using the latest OS version and all apps are up to date.

yeah for sure i have checked the compatibilty but it seems its the phone's mal function actually asking if rooting will help solve my problem

Rooting won't solve a problem by itself, it will just give you more options. So we still need to work out the cause. I take it that you are trying to use this Verizon handset on a GSM network?
