Help Random battery drainage

So I have a seriously frustrating problem. I use GOKeyboard for my Galaxy S7. Some days, the phone works fine (although battery is terrible but that is another issue being taken up). Then others, I use my phone fop fifteen minutes and I notice has drained by like ten percent. Sometimes more. I check battery usage, and the keyboard app has used 49 percent!! But then the next day... Like tonight for example, I have been using the phone for thirty minutes, drained five percent, and the keyboard hasn't used a single percent of the battery. What on earth is going on with it?!

Get rid of GO Keyboard. It has alot of adware and drains your battery. It's gone downhill since I used it in 2010-11.

I believe it's normal.

The 49% used by the keyboard is not 49% of the phone's battery, it's 49% of the battery that the phone has used during that 15 minutes or so.

Tube, you may have the right idea.

Ivt , I do understand this. But during said minutes, I was not or barely using the app . I understand they run in background, but why no earth this app runs at such usage in comparison to say Facebook or gmail is beyond me.

To give an example of how weird it is, I force stopped the app and then restarted using it an hour ago. It has, since the stop, not used a single percent of my battery, as opposed to using 49 percent prior to this. There is certainly something amiss here.

If you find it suspecious, just stop using it. There must be some good alternative keyboards?
